The following are some of our examples
of trompe l'oeil murals with effects.
In Art Effects' Trompe L'Oeil and Murals
we are always trying to make our artwork entertaining.
Many of our pieces are quite simple,
but still make an impression on whoever happens upon it.
As in our "fishing pole" example...the developer asked a visiting designer what she thought of the interior design of his house,
she replied that she approved of everything, except she would move the fishing pole out of the hallway, it was in the way.

Thus "The Trick"

How about a dart board.
Although most of our murals and artwork
containing Trompe L'Oeil are very realistic
it is not necessary for a piece of art
to be so precise to accomplish "The Trick".
In order to be Trompe L'Oeil the viewer has to be deceived or tricked
if only for a moment.

Here on the wall next to the dart board,
one might see the painted score board,
or maybe have noticed already that the dart board is painted...
then they notice the dart and have to have a chuckle,
after trying to touch the dart.

This Was Our First Major Trompe L'Oeil Effects
And Still One Of Our Favorite.
The trick here is the actual nitche.
After viewing this piece, most get the fact
that we painted the articles in the nitche,
then we have to say...
the wall is completly flat, there is not a hole.

But Then you Notice the Bats And Ball...
Or Visa-Versa

First Your Attention Is Drawn Towards
The Big And Bold Mural...
Then You See The Stick In The Corner!
An awesome trick and very much requested Art Effect
and just think how simple a pool cue is to paint.

A Little Wall Hanging Thingy...
Ivy is always an easy Trompe L'Oeil effect.
Notice it is not necessary to paint a thick bunch of leaves,
the shadows make the trick.

Above is a fairly simple "Castle In The Air" mural,
in a little girls fairy princess room.
The Trick or Trompe L'Oeil effect is the window treatment above,
which matches the existing one over the room's window.
While viewing the mural which is oviously painted,
one is taken back after realizing the treament is painted.
This is just one example of how you can incorporate
a Trompe L'Oeil effect into any mural.
